A Mid-winter training tune-up for horses and riders.
National clinicians and authors Jec Ballou and Cathy Woods will team up to combine their work of wellness for humans and horses.
Jec specializes in fitness for equine athletes and optimizing how they move and use their bodies. Cathy specializes in the use of yoga to improve horsemanship from ground to saddle, exploring the parallels.
All types of horses and riders welcome, regardless of discipline. Here’s an idea of our itinerary at the event:

9:00 am: Meet and Greet, program orientation
9:30 am – 12:30 pm: With Cathy Woods: morning meditation, yoga class (good stretches for riders). A discussion/workshop about the parallels of yoga & horsemanship.
12:30 – 1:15 pm: Lunch break and riders prepare their horses for afternoon session. Note: participants bring their own lunch.
1:30 -4:30 pm: With Jec A. Ballou, riders and horses in arena. “Corrective Exercises for Flexibility and Balanced Movement for Equine Athletes.” As a group, we will work through several beneficial exercises for both horses and riders.
4:30 – 5:00: Cathy Woods will lead some final yoga stretches in the saddle to wrap up the program.
